Barbara Granito is the Strategic Director of the Science Ambassadors Program. Before joining the Ambassadors Program, Barbara was an award-winning journalist at The Wall Street Journal, where she served as a News Editor and Staff Reporter in New York; and prior to that at Dow Jones & Co. as Bureau Chief in Rome, Italy, and at Institutional Investor magazine as a Contributing Editor in Paris, France, and New York City. Since retiring, she has served on boards and committees of numerous charitable organizations in New York and Pittsburgh, including the Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens and The Ellis School.
Adona Iosif is the Program Coordinator of the Science Ambassadors Program. In that role, she helps develop energy programming for a broad range of audiences, and works with speakers to create clear and compelling communication. Before joining the Ambassadors Program, Adona was a Ph.D. student in Machine Learning at Carnegie Mellon University, and the co-founder of Public Communication for Researchers, a grassroots organization at Carnegie Mellon University training graduate students to talk about their work and why it matters outside academia.
