Hari Mantripragada is a Research Scientist in the Department of Engineering and Public Policy at Carnegie Mellon University. His research focuses on topics related to energy and environment. Primarily he is involved in developing computer-based engineering and economic models to evaluate advanced CO2 capture technologies for power plants. His teaching interests include topics related to energy, environment, and climate change. For his doctoral thesis, he worked on techno-economic evaluation of coal-to-liquids plants under carbon constraints. Hari received a Bachelor of Technology from the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology Madras in 2003 and a Master of Technology from the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay in 2005.
