Stephen Lee is Professor and Head of the School of Architecture at Carnegie Mellon University. His scholarly activities and practice focus on issues of systems integration, material innovation, renewable energy, and the integrated design process for high performance commercial and residential architecture. He is LEED accredited and provides sustainable design consulting services for clients in Europe, Asia, Canada, and the United States. His consulting work with the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection resulted in a new standard for healthy, flexible, adaptable, and energy and environmentally effective buildings in Pennsylvania. He holds a Master of Architecture in Advanced Building Studies and a Bachelor of Architecture, both from Carnegie Mellon University.
